After a freak accident involving several octopi and a vat of warm lard, Bruce, otherwise known as The Dinkum Cobber, expatriated himself from St. Kilda and landed in Denver, only to find other Aussie ex-pats longing for the simple beach life of back home. To quench this thirst for home, the blokes formed the Mighty Pikeys, taking the unique argy bargy scene to the quaint mountain town.
Knowing full well that no band can survive without integrity, hard work, and lots of whiskey, the Pikeys slaved away learning new meters, styles of music, and mastering the art of the Bourbon Bong reach-around handstand. It was then that Bruce, in a Opiate/Benzodiazepine haze, discovered what it was that the Pikeys were to ultimately be, pure unabashed bollocks.
Since then, the boys have been terrorizing Cherry Creek soccer moms and small children with their rough Aussie sound. For as Bruce the Dinkum Cobber opined in his wedding speech; Bollocks on the lot o ya! If ye don’t want us around, stop being such a wanker ye fairy!
Those words still ring true today.
